Around and around is the name of the game...

Today was pretty normal. And by that I mean, only one doctor appointment and then the rest of the time hanging out with Abby.  Today was the first day though that I actually felt the "blaaaaah" the doctors and nurses were expecting.  I took a nap and so more sleep didn't interest me, TV didn't interest me, running after Abby definitely was out of the question and the internet did not interest me either. Sitting and staring at the wall seemed like the best option.  I did that for a while which was riveting...

Saw Dr. Daly this morning and ran into my good friend SusieCakes. She's preggers too about 3 months behind me with a little boy.  She made me have a good laugh when she told me why she was at the OB/GYN's office but I won't share her secret so let's just leave it at that. Hilarious though!

Forgot to mention that Saturday night when we got home from Idyllwild at 11PM...yep that late, well because I started going too fast down the hill and poor Abby got car sick and after cleaning that up, soothing her and then driving 5 miles an hour down the rest of the mountain we just got back that late.  Anywaaaaayyyy, I was unpacking the back of our new Buick Enclave (serious plug since I LOVE this car) and I slipped and fell onto my belly.  I was really, really freaked out but I remembered that I have anterior placenta placement with this pregnancy, fell slightly more too my right side than directly square flat on my belly, and felt the baby move a little while afterwards so I felt fine enough to wait until I saw Dr. Daly this morning to double check on things.

Peanut is fine. He was SO precious. He was, of course, looking directly as us during the ultrasound and I got a good look at his little face. Oh he's chunky already according to the sonographer.  Huge chubby cheeks. From what I can tell he looks like his Daddy (from facial shape not just the cheeks, ha ha). Even in the womb. Berman traits must be dominant. Abby looks like Daddy and now looks like Peanut will too.  That made for a nice visit. Only other news is Dr. Daly told me to ignore the bills I get since they are for insurance purposes not for me to actually pay...AND that I am anemic and need to take iron pills 2x a day.  No big whoop.  Just add that to my list of supplements!

Raced home, got gas, then grabbed Abby and my mom to head to dance class.  We got there a little late but still in time for "snails" (scooting on your bum across the floor in a snail race, it's pretty darn cute).  It's funny that I forget how tired I am when I'm with her in these classes. We just have a good old time. We got home and Chef Jason had made some delicious food and so we had lunch.  Abby had some of his chicken cashew and veggie stir fry and Mom and I had some of the food that Moujan had delivered to us from Real Food Daily.  After our nice lunch we both hit the hay hard for our nappy nap.

Called Tower Oncology to double check on my port since it's two weeks today that it was installed. It was starting to hurt and itch a bit but Nurse Bill figured out that it's just because I need to let it breathe more and that it's starting to heal.  It's looks scabby which is a good sign and hopefully the air speeds up the healing process.

Oh yeah, and Abby's favorite sing-a-long song is courtesy of Brentwood Pres Toddler class..."around and around is the name of the game, around and around now what's your name?" Then she screams "ABBY!!" Around and around is the name of the game, around and around now what's my name? "Moommmaaaa!!!" And so on and so forth until we go through everyone we know including Charlie and Berkeley.

Speaking of, still waiting for someone to adopt my dogs. Charlie is now having his ear issues because somehow he is getting something other than dog food that is making his allergies act up.  I've been cleaning and medicating his ears now twice a day, yippee!!, since ya'll know I have lots of patience for this and really don't have much else to do right now...

Oh yeah, Sunday I met with the guy from Swing Set Solutions (thank you Jeyran!) and ordered Abby a beautiful swing set complete with fort, slide, swings, rock wall, and a deck where she can insert various toys like a bistro set or a play kitchen, etc. It may even get installed this weekend. Amazing. This will make playdates at our house much more fun.  Let me know if you're interested in bringing over your little one for some outdoor fun! ;-)  Crap, just realized, since it's raining outside, that it is now fall and winter is approaching but hey, maybe we'll continue to experience freakishly warm winters like the last few and she'll be able to use it no problem.

Oh my lord, will you look at the time. I need to go to bed.

By the way, I am LOVING my new macbook air (now that I have internet again, thank you Time Warner Cable for the new modem).  I do need to figure out how to migrate and synchronize everything from my dell PC desktop to my mac. Let me know if you have a "guy" that can do this for me. I'm trying to find one that will actually return my phone calls and get them to do the work...

  1. Hey Jess, did you buy the $100 Apple One On One thing? It is a year of unlimited in-store help sessions, but what is also covers is them transferring everything over for you! I did that when I switched from PC to Mac. Maybe they'll let you add it on after the fact. Then, just drop off both computers and pick them up a couple days later with your files moved over. xo
